From the article: Positions for Labor and Childbirth
Labor positions come in many forms: walking, squatting, standing, being supported, etc. While every labor is different many women say that the positions that they chose to labor in were great forms of pain relief. So tell us, did you use a birth ball? Stand up? Walk? Share Your Experience
- Squatting position while breathing through contractions worked great. Since I was pregnant with twins it took me a total of 20 minutes to give birth. 10 minutes for each baby!
This method works!!
- This method helped me so much, since I'm only 4'11 and the baby was huge! There was no episiotomy and the pain was there but it was minimal, just remember to focus and take deep breaths as well and you'll be very proud of your experience forever...

4 minute delivery
- Hands and knees position while breathing through contractions worked great. Actually gave birth on hands and knees 4 minutes after arriving at birth center!

- I really thought I'd walk around or use some of the squatting since it sounded so helpful. What really felt great was sitting on the birth ball. I could move just enough and yet didn't require a lot of energy. The perfect combination in labor!
