Get the gear you need
- It helps to have what you need on hand. Of course, all you really need are the boobs ;-) but to make it comfortable and easy, you might want to get a good pillow (Boppy), several really comfortable nursing bras, pads (washable or disposable), lanolin for the first few days and all the supplies you need for pumping.

Attend a Meeting
- I went to local breastfeeding support meetings - like La Leche League, but it was called something else here. I got to see other moms breastfeed and learned where to go for help before I needed it!
