From the article: Girl or Boy?
Finding out the sex of your baby brings up a lot of emotions. Sometimes you're overjoyed because you are having the sex you preferred. Sometimes you may have had no preconceived notions and either a girl or a boy was fine. But what happens if you go to your ultrasound and find out that your baby is the opposite of what you'd planned or thought about?

Surprisingly emotional reveal...
- This is our first child and my husband and I always dreamt of having a little baby boy. Our familes are full of girls and we were hoping that this would be the first boy. We were told at the ultrasound that we probably have a girl (baby wasnt very cooperative). We were both pretending to be super happy, but deep down I think we were both disappointed. I felt ashamed to have such a strong emotion over something that really doesnt matter much, but I couldnt help what I felt. After a few days I have started to warm up to the idea and we both know that there is still the possiblity that baby could be a boy since the tech wasnt 100%. Either way, I am excited to be a mommy and cant wait to meet my bundle of joy, whether she's a she or a he's a he.

AMAZED!
- I was so happy! I had my daughter at 19 and she is now four. I found out that I was pregnant in december. This baby was not planned and my boyfriend was quite shocked but he handles it well and we are all looking forward to the new arrival. I went for my scan, I sort of wanted a boy to even things up but I always thought it was a girl. It turned out it was! In June I will meet my second daughter, I am so happy. The only problem is a name. My eldest is called Eva. I love the name Anneliese. But my boyfriend hates it... oh well.

two beautiful girls
- My first pregnancy, I was certain it was going to be a boy. I didnt have a preference, but I just leaned towards boy. Well, I found out it was a girl, and showered her with clothes, love, kisses, and gifts. She has grown into a bit of a tomboy so its almost a win-win lol. I then suffered a miscarriage before becoming pregnant a third time. The way my body was acting, I knew I was carrying a girl again. I didnt care at all, I was just happy to be pregnant. Ultrasound came around, and it was confirmed to be another girl:-) I have a 3 year old and a 9 month old, and I am the luckiest mama ever.

Its a girl!
- I already have 2 girls (13 & 11) and a 18 month old son. Since our son was much younger than his sisters, we decided to try for our 4th baby to give our son a sibling close in age to grow up with. We wanted a brother for him really bad but we were told "girl" at the ultrasound. My husband and I were both devastated knowing our lil boy will never have a brother. I was depressed for a week and even cried secretly after the ultrasound. Went in for another ultrasound at a 3D place and it was confirmed "girl." We finally accepted the fact we have a healthy baby and we love the baby whether boy or girl.

GIRL
- From the day we knew we were expecting we were dying to know boy/ girl. We always said we weren't fussed, I did say if I could choose it would be a girl, always dream of me and my partner with a little girl. Chinese gender predictor said girl. We had an inkling it was a girl. At 16 weeks private u/s told us it was a girl, we were so excited... but would have been equally excited if we had been told it was a little boy! We can't wait to meet her.

Happy!
- I have always wanted to have a boy for my first child. When I fell pregnant, I had hoped for a boy deep down. In my family we have all girls (only boys are the ones that get married into the family!) and I knew my Dad and my Granddad would love a little boy also. But coming closer to my scan my partner and I were genuinely unfazed as long as it was healthy. Everyone kept asking us what we wanted and we just said "boy or girl it will be loved no matter what!" we just wanted to know so we could decorate! Then on the scan it was a boy!!!! We were so happy! But at the end of the day even if it was a girl, my partner and I would still be overjoyed! I know that might not sound true, but it really is. We love our little bubby so much already and it isn't even out yet - we can't wait to give him a big squeeze and a kiss!

My little angel!
- My husband wanted a baby boy. Every body in my family was expecting baby boy only, though there are no girl babies in my family. To my surprise in the seventh month I came to know that its a girl. My husband was shocked to hear that and was so depressed. But after her birth she became close to my husband and now i am out.

It was disappointed at first but
- Ever since I was a teenager, I wanted to have 4 kids and wanted my first born be a boy. I love to have 2 of each. I am now 24 weeks along with my first. My husband had been feeling it was a boy and I was hoping it was a boy because that what I always wanted. in our 20 weeks ultrasound, we found out we are having a girl. My husband felt disappointed for a couple day. I was kind of disappointed but it doesn't mean that I don't love this little girl. I adjusted myself to the idea that my first born is a girl in like 2 second. My husband was just afraid that he wont get a boy of his own and when we does. he would be too old to do anything with him. He is also scared that the little girl will not do anything with her Daddy. However, he loves our little girl and keep saying that he can't wait for her to come so that he can hold her or he wants to hold her all the time. Every time he felt her kicks on my tummy, he was overjoyed. We both love her very much already, cant wait!

Personal Preference
- This blog is to socialize and give YOUR opinions. If you feel like someone's response is not what you would think or say who cares....it's THEIR view and not yours. Remember that nobody on here has the right to judge others.....that's why America is a FREE country. I have 3 boys (2 non-bio that I raise after their deadbeat mother left). We are FINALLY pregnant with our first child together and I WANT A GIRL......if it's a boy I will love him nonetheless however I had NOTHING to do with the decision factor of the two I raise in addition to my birth son. We are entitled to our own thoughts and feelings. *thatisall*

GIRL!!!
- Waiting for the ultrasound to let us know the sex of our first baby was the most nervewracking time ever! We found out at our 19 week ultrasound and both my husband and I sat very impatiently as the tech checked everything else (arms, legs, head size, tummy, etc..) FINALLY the time came where the techs says "do we want to know?" I literally screamed "YES!!!" After apologizing to the poor shocked tech and my snickering husband we got our answer we had been waiting months to find out. IT'S A BABY GIRL!!! This is what my husband and I both wanted, and we couldn't be more thrilled. Needless to say I have been going crazy discovering all the cute girly/pink things I can before our little princess joins us.

Didn't matter
- I have a boy and a girl and just found out I am having another little boy. I was worried how my son would think sharing a room with his 8 year difference little brother but I think it will be o.k. I'm happy my family is feeling complete now. Just can't wait for him to get here.

It's a BOY!
- It took me years and years to decided I wanted a child, while all my friends were having children I was working and having "fun." My pregnancy was talked about, but, not exactly planned. I found out my baby's sex at 15 weeks via ultra sound. I think every woman hopes for a little girl, I was no exception. I really wanted a girl, but, they doctor said, "It's a BOY!" I was a little sad, but, now I am getting more and more excited to meet my baby boy!
