How far along were you when you found out?
My 4yr old son told me a few days before I even ovulated "mummy when you get ffat you'll get 2 babies". My reply to this was yeah right. A few weeks later I discovered I was pregnant. When I told the kids the youngest still kept saying there's 2 in there. Later he started saying he was getting a boy and a girl. scan at 8 weeks showed twins and 24wks scan showed girl & boy so my son was right all along we still haven't told the kids what they're getting but he still argues its a boy and girl.
What was your reaction to the news?
At first I was devastated but I think it was more shock than anything else. I cried for about 3hours afterwards and didn't stop shaking for hours after that. It took about a week to sink in but I couldn't be happier now.
I still panic sometimes though about how I'll manage.
Advice
- keep an eye out for offers on nappies & buy in bulk
- if having 2 same sex don't dress them the same and you'll save money on clothes as you only need 1 of each.
