It's hard to attend births at this stage in pregnancy for many reasons. One it's physically hard to be supportive, rub backs, hold ladies up, etc. But you do it. It's also hard to watch laboring women, knowing it's almost your turn. Then you see the rewards and the delight in the eyes of the new parents and you remember why you're doing it...
Birth is such a miracle. I'm blessed to see birth in many settings. I'm blessed to be having another baby...
