Week 4 - The test did what?

Oh my, what a week it has been. I was so unprepared to get pregnant that I didn't even notice the absence of my period. Despite trying to conceive, it was a complete shock to stare at the calendar one day and realize that it said I was late.

We were out with the kids later that afternoon, heading to the park. While they played, Kevin and I talked about the possibility. He was sure, as always, that the signs were there and that we were pregnant with lucky baby number seven.

I made him stop at the drugstore on the way home. I also made him wait in the car with the kids. I hate having to buy pregnancy tests with all the kids in tow. Talk about the stares! The test was a faint positive, or was it?

Later I went to the dollar store to buy them out of pregnancy tests. I did learn to shake the box to make sure there is a test in there. All week long I took one or more tests through out the day. Some positive, others not-so-positive. I certainly didn't feel pregnant. We decided to ignore it for awhile.
