Let's face it, being pregnant has advantages and disadvantages. I'd personally mark being really pregnant near Halloween as an advantage. It gives you a great canvas to paint so to speak and choose costumes for Halloween that you might not have given a previous thought to trying. Here are some ideas to get you started!
- A Pregnant Penguin
Perfectly rounded and slightly tottering...You can use your belly to make the perfect penguin. The even better news is that the black is slimming. - A Pregnant Nun
A bit irreverent but still funny, this costume is sure to get you some chuckles. Add your partner to the mix as a priest for added humor? - Carry a Pumpkin
When all else fails, consider painting your belly like a pumpkin. Then take a large t-shirt and cut out just enough room for your belly to stick out. Walk around with your hands under your belly like you're carrying the pumpkin around. - Swallow a Basket Ball
This is a version of the pumpkin above, but with a basket ball. You can have your spouse go as a cheerleader for some additional laughs. - Your Favorite Pregnant Celebrity
With pregnancy currently all the rage in Hollywood you have quite a few characters from which to choose. Several popular ideas are Angelia Jolie (complete with a back carrier filled with other babies) or Britney Spears, add you husband to this one and he can be K-Fed. (I know they aren't a couple, but I'd still say it makes a great costume.) - Your Favorite Fluffy Character
If you aren't super pregnant, you might just want to aim for loosing fitting and fun. Some characters in this category include The Pilsbury Doughboy, Humpty Dumpty, a marsh mellow, eggplant, baby, etc.
