Aden + Anais Australian Muslin Wrap Baby Blanket

These blankets have become my new favorite. They are light weight and soft, making it easy to put next to baby's delicate skin, and yet large enough to effectively swaddle as newborns need and love to help them feel safe, without the overheating of many blankets.

I think just about everyone knows that I'm a baby blanket snob. I'm really into baby blankets and I have way more than I care to admit. When I saw the new Aden + Anais blankets made from muslin, I was intrigued. When I first touched one, I was sold.

These blankets are very soft and the fabric is very light weight and opaque. This makes them very breathable, making them a great blanket, even in the summer. The feel of the blanket was amazingly soft, so that I wouldn't have to worry about the tactile senses of my baby being set off in a negative way.

I also have to say that I love that they come four to a pack. Most baby blankets are sold in singles, with an occasional double. Anyone who has ever been around a baby knows babies need lots of changes of clothes and blankets because of accidents, so the four pack is very handy.

Swaddling is easy because of the size of the blanket. This means that your baby will be able to be tightly tucked in and feel safe and secure. Because the blanket is so large, it can also be used for other purposes. You could cover up while nursing, use it as a burp cloth, or a floor mat. You could even use it to cover up the baby's stroller - it is that big!

This is my new newborn baby or baby shower gift of choice!
