The Bottom Line

The Munchkin Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail at first glance may look like many of the other diaper pails on the market, but this diaper pail has much more going for it, making it a stand out diaper pail in the category.

Guide Review - Munchkin Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail Review

The Munchkin Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail is designed with a bag system. You take your dirty diaper, folded up, and open the top of the canister, and place it inside the bag. Here you do need a bit of force to get it through the bag, but, once you're done, simply close the lid. The diaper pail will actually dispense odor preventing and absorbing baking soda. It will also twist the bag and pull the diaper into the pail. There were no odors emanating from the bag even when the top door was open.

The best part for me was the removal of the whole bag. You simply lift the top lid, snap the bag closed and slightly push it down. Open the side door and remove the bag. It was easy to tell when the pail was getting full and easy to replace the bag.

The Munchkin Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail claims to hold 25 diapers. Realistically this number will vary based on the size of your diapers and how tightly you close them up. I did find that sometimes the diapers wouldn't fill out all the space in the bag. This was easy to see before changing, so you don't waste a bag, but all you needed to do to rectify this was to shake the pail for a second or two, allowing the other diapers to settle.
