Eleven Weeks, Five Days

It's official we're getting the house! I'm relieved and even more nervous now. Although it will be nice to have more space and have a baby in my very own house!

The morning sickness is still around and it's odd because it's tied to hunger. I have to eat or I'll vomit, but it's hard to eat while nauseated. Hilary wants to know why I'm making such awful noises!

Heart beat is still strong and I'm getting more and more relieved that we're almost at twelve weeks! I've even begun looking at baby names. So far the winners are Seth or Aaron for a boy or Simone for a girl. No one liked Yael or Sabra.

No one in the family knows yet and that's cool with us, just less stress and grief from them.

Eleven Weeks, Six Days

Okay this round the clock birth thing is really, really getting to me! But it was another joyous birth with a terrific couple I also attended with baby #1. They were thrilled with their birth and just happy as a clam with their new little one. I was dead dog tired as I drug myself home with only 15 minutes of sleep.

I find it hard to sleep during the day even when exhausted. I did manage a few cat naps today. And the good news is that I am off call for a long while! So I can start leaving my pager at home and sleeping restfully at night, I hope!

Kevin and I had a date night tonight. We dropped the kids off at his parents house and we went for a semi-fancy/romantic dinner. It was pretty nice, but there was an obnoxious group next to us. Then I ate too much. We walked around the kitchen and bath store dreaming about our new house which we can't move in to for another 54 days!

I also wore a maternity skirt mainly because nothing else was clean! So I had to hide from his parents when we picked up the kids, though it didn't scream maternity. I just lost 30 lbs. in prep for getting pregnant. I knew it would be difficult to reconcile with gaining weight again, but I'm trying to get some newer maternity clothes and still feel really great about my body. So far so good!
