Photos can be in nearly any format, but I prefer jpg, gif or bmp. They will be sized for web purposes. You may have your name included if you wish or it may be anonymous, but it must be in your request. Be sure to tell me which. Any information that is left out may cause your baby not to be used. It is possible that not all photos will be used but you will be notified when yours is added. We are particularly looking for photos of:

• Newborns
• Normal characteristics of new babies
• Birth marks
• Molded heads
• Preemies
• Forceps/Vacuum marks

ATTENTION AOL USERS: Do not write me without ensuring that your mail is capable of accepting mail back from my address. Your pictures will not be added if I cannot reach you. This frustrates us both. You also need to be sure that all photos are sent as attachments, otherwise the images will not display.

Send your photo and the following statement:

I certify that I am the author or sole owner of the material I am submitting to About.com. About.com and its licensees may reproduce, distribute, publish, display, edit, modify, create derivative works and otherwise use the material for any purpose in any form and on any media. I agree to indemnify About.com for all damages and expenses that may be incurred in connection with the material. For more information, please see our user agreement.
