The baby shower is passé. Today's hottest party is the gender reveal party. This involves you, and as many family and friends as you would like to gather to reveal the sex of your baby during pregnancy. While there are certainly some similarities to the baby shower (pregnant woman, food, friends), there are also some big differences (more likely to be co-ed, big announcement). This really fits with the modern trend of baby parties in general.
I like that because it is newer, there are fewer "rules" that surround it. This gives families the flexibility that they need to stretch and do what's best for them. So this might mean the co-ed experience, doing it earlier in pregnancy than before and even hosting the whole shebang. Relaxing these rules of etiquette might be the best thing. Do you agree?
