- I switched to a new ob/gyn for insurance purposes and had to get the records from my first pregnancy and couldn't believe what the doctor had written about me... at the time I was a newly wed and he wrote that he thought the pregnancy was pre-wedding (not true; and even if it was why would it matter?). I gained 37 pounds during my pregnancy and he stated that I was obese... when I was 120 pounds before my pregnancy and I'm 5'6''...so how is 157 lbs while pregnant obese????
