From the article: Top 4 Pregnancy Books for Dads from Pregnancy to Labor
Reading pregnancy books is not something that many dads spend a lot of time doing. So it's important to pick the right books. What books did your guy read about pregnancy or birth? What did he like about that book? Share Your Favorites
A Light Read and a Comprehensive Read
- Pickles and Ice Cream: A Father's Guide to Pregnancy was a decent read, but the author does sort of make his opinions sound like facts though. For a more comprehensive book, The Birth Partner was really good.

Week by Week Pregnancy Guide
- My husband was SO not interested in pregnancy books, but he did pick up my week-by-week pregnancy guide once in a while to see what stage of development the baby was at. I bought him a couple of dad-to-be humor books but he seemed more interested in the facts than the male-bonding support.

A Humorous Look at Pregnancy
- My husband really enjoyed reading "Pregnancy Sucks for Men: What to Do When Your Miracle Makes You BOTH Miserable." It's a lighthearted read, but it it explained what I was going through and how our lives would change when baby arrived. It also prepped him for the costs of raising a baby, what we needed to pack and how he could help his growing wife relax and take care of herself. I enjoyed reading it too!
