breastfed
- The most important thing for me was deciding not to stress about anything but the baby while he was a very needy newborn.. I decided to relax about tackling weight loss to concentrate on my baby, and weight loss occurred automatically since I breastfed for 3 years. Once I stopped breastfeeding I was within 15 lbs of my pre-pregnancy weight, and I had enough time to start running every other day, progressively further and faster until, in under a year, I had lost all the weight and was running 10ks. I think the biggest success was not stressing out about it; I knew this achievement would occur eventually once I had the time to devote full energy to it, but if I had stressed until then, I would have missed out on simply enjoying nurturing my baby.
