Last two pregnancies were different

I am now 8 weeks and have spent the last 2 weeks in the bathroom or in bed. This is our 3rd, we have 2 girls 9 and 5 and I can remember feeling nauseated very few times. Never did vomit either time. This time has been a totally different story. I've found that snacking on salty foods helps so much. I have to snack frequently, not waiting until I'm hungry or else the nausea and violent vomiting come right back. My husband stopped at Walgreens and bought bracelets used for motion sickness this afternoon and to my surprise I joined my family for dinner for the first time in 2weeks. My doc told me to take half a Unisom (tablets, not capsule because you must halve it) and one B6 vitamin every 8 hours. At this point I'm willing to try anything and have just taken them now that it's my bed time. Gonna try both in hopes that I can return to life with my family.

Sick and tired of morning sickness!

I am now 6 weeks pregnant and this is my 1st baby. I wake up feeling sick and I want to vomit that feeling kills me and I just got sick of it... Lots of times my husband finds me in the toilet on the floor crying from the pain. I spoke to my mother and she told me to try using lemon when ever I feel like vomiting. I smell the lemon or eat it, it makes me feel better or as well I drink 7up with juice of lemon, it is yummy and makes you feel better, try it maybe you'll feel better. I know I did.

Nausea cure

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and have been nauseous (no vomiting yet) since about 6 1/2 weeks, but what REALLY REALLY helped me was wearing "Sea Bands" on my wrists (get them at drug store) and taking "Mommy's Bliss Morning Sickness Magic" pills...they are all natural and safe, and work! They contain ginger, vit. B6, folic acid, and raspberry leaf....take 4/ day...it works! If you can't get the pills right away, start taking 25 mg vit. B6 3 times a day until the pills arrive or till you can get them at store or online....it started helping me right away!

Sleep and Snacking

I find that lots of sleep and snacking in bed in the morning help. Watermelon, Almonds, peanut butter!

ALL

Try peanut butter, by itself, on toast or bagel. The PB is protein and is good for you and baby. It 'sticks' to your tummy. Peanut butter has been my savior - this is my 2nd pregnancy. My first I was constantly sick and the only thing that I could keep down was PB on toast/bagel. Try it... It will probably work.

Help/Morning sickness

I'm 6 weeks pregnant and my morning sickness hit at beginning of 5 weeks, only its 24 hour sickness. I've tried all sorts and nothing seems to work...from seabands to ginger ale, ginger gum, crackers, sour fruits. Every food items I see nauseates me, I can't eat and find it hard to keep food down. I have some relief for about 20-30min after I force food down then its back to the porcelain bowl. Don't know what else to try and I don't wanna use drugs...it's been one week of nausea, vomiting, fatigue, headaches and worry. Can't tolerate prenatal vitamins either...

I hate Food - i'm sick all the time

Everyone says that when they eat, it makes it better at least for a little while - I am 8.5 weeks with my second child and I don't know what else to do. I sleep a lot more than I used to, but that doesn't help with me feeling sick. everything sounds gross and I have to force just about all my meals down. dinner is the very worst meal for me - if I get sick at all during the day then dinner just makes me more sick and I usually throw it up. fruits make me more sick and crackers are too dry. water makes me sick, most fruit juices make me sick. Once I gag, I feel horrible until I throw up. Once I throw up, I get really cold and usually can't move or else it will keep coming. I need tips that work.

Enough of morning sickness

My first pregnancy was so lucky. Not much symptoms, except during my last month, my placenta is not delivering nutrients to my baby. I ended up giving birth to a premature baby boy, only 1.9kg at 38 weeks by cesarean. My second pregnancy was a missed abortion at 7 weeks with no symptoms. Now I am in my third pregnancy, in week 15, having bad indigestion, bloatedness after food. Nothing seems to help, vomit at least twice daily. Vomiting caused headache afterwards. I think only drinking fizzy cold drinks helps me burp and feels a little better but worry it is not so good for my baby. Not eating full meals helps too. I just wish my morning sickness will disappear one day, it is killing me.

Applesauce

I'm about 7 weeks pregnant with my first. This morning sickness (nausea, discomfort) is killing me. Some things that I have found to work is applesauce. It makes me feel 3x better. Also drinking Gingerale helps. Smells bother me a lot, that now I just close my nose. Also try saltine crackers. Doctors have told me to eat saltine crackers before I get out of bed, because once you are up the morning sickness will not stop.

Useful tips for nausea and hyperemesis.

I was nauseated and vomiting with both my kids. With the first I had hyperemesis and ended up dehydrated in hospital, with my second I suffered but knew how to control it better. My nausea lasts 20 weeks. Most important tip - do not allow yourself to get hungry, eat little and often - grazing is better than eating. Avoid greasy and fatty foods. Do not drink immediately after eating, but wait at least 15 minutes, because it will all come up!! Do not eat until you are full. Some people vomit a lot because they have too much acid in the stomach like I had. In this case, avoiding acidic and sour foods and taking antacid medication which is safe in pregnancy, eg Gaviscon, works wonders. Still, one day you will just wake up without the nausea. I am now in my 6th week of pregnancy and although I am nauseated, I havent vomited. I waiting for it though... and yes, it is a happy reminder of being pregnant. The last time I was pregnant, I did not have any symptoms and miscarried.

The smells...

I am 9 weeks pregnant with my first and have been sick non-stop. I've tried everything but still seem to throw up just about everyday and feel nausea 24/7. The smell of just about anything bothers me and I have a hard time eating just about anything. Thanks for the tips, I'll have to start trying those out!

Mandarin Oranges

I am 6 weeks plus now. It's my first pregnancy. I started getting nausea before I missed my period. It's really been horrible, but I just discovered that mandarin oranges are my savior. I just pop one into my mouth and immediately I get up and then all through the day I have one in my bag. It is helping with the nausea, constipation and frequent dry mouth.

Corn Flakes Help

I'm six weeks pregnant and when I first felt nausea, it was really terrible. It was around 1 AM and it actually woke me up. I really struggled not to vomit on this night because I hate vomiting. However, now I keep some dry corn flakes beside my bed. Having some everytime you feel sick really helps. Sucking a lemon after meals really helps as well.

Ginger!

Anything having ginger in it helps me a ton! I have been nauseous and having horrible indigestion for 2 weeks now (I am 6 weeks) and Ginger ale, Ginger snaps and these little ginger lozenges that you get from health food stores help a ton! Just be careful with your sugar intake, as pregnancy raises the glucose level in your blood tremendously. The ginger lozenges have very little sugar in them, so those are best. Good luck everyone!!
