Going crazy @ 33weeks

I'm 33 weeks with my first. The nesting started about 2 weeks ago. I washed all of babies clothes, arranged by months and folded them. Cat slept on them so I did it all over again. I'm doing pocket diapers (cloth), so all the liners have been washed, put pacifiers through sanitizer, cleaned links, packed hosp. bag for baby & I, started on diaper bag, cleaned & rearranged nursery drastically twice plan to do it again. Wake up at 5am clean with Clorox, dishes, counters, floors, baseboards, cabinets, bathrooms, bedrooms, living room, then I do a quick cleaning around 11pm...wake up at 5am and do it all again. Sometimes I just crave the scent of Clorox and HAVE to drop everything & clean clean clean. I'm also progressing pretty quickly & it is believed she's coming soon. We will see, nesting is killing my energy level and making me lose sleep! Also I've been over, labled, worked on baby shower stuff with my host almost everyday 2months straight so glad to get it done this weekend!

Nesting

I am 39 weeks and 3 days. I have had no energy at all this week! I went to my midwifes office yesterday and was checked. I'm 1-2cm dilated, and 50% effaced. She had done a minor stretch and sweep and lost my mucous plug he next day. Now this morning when I woke up all I have been doing is cleaning, baking, etc you name it! I'm hoping labour isn't to much farther a long :)

Yes

I started cleaning my restroom plus my two refrigerators. I was also washing dishes putting them away. I also did laundry, I don't know where all that energy came from? but I guess that was a sign.

38 weeks and have been nesting

The first 6-7 months of pregnancy I was battling all day nausea. Then I hit the 7th month and it pretty much went away. That's when the nesting began. I tore apart every closet and rearranged all the contents. Cleaned out and organized a 2 car garage. Set up a cleaning schedule and was making nightly meals. Repainted and decorated the nursery (all while having severe sciatic pain) the urge to nest was greater than the pain which meant I was crawling around to get some of this stuff done. Then it slowed down at 34 weeks or so and I had zero energy or motivation to get much done. At week 37 it began again. i started organizing the nursery closet again, packing hospital bags, cleaning out the car and making meals. I had a huge surge of energy for the last week and today it's like I hit a wall. I've been in bed except to shower...exhausted as can be. Hoping labor is coming! I think nesting can come and go throughout pregnancy but I think it's most common close to the onset of labor.

nesting madness

Im 35 week pregnant and have strated to clean, yesterday I attacked my kitchen, scrubbed out cupboards, washed floors unpacked our suitcase as we have just got back from france and washed it all, then attacked pillowcase blankets etc, then cleaned our lounge. Im finding im getting peeved with my 3 years old for making a mess everywhere when ive just cleaned up,shes finding it very funny!!! Ive waited weeks for my otherhalf to move his stuff to another room and now its annoying me, if he doesnt do it soon im gunna black sack it or hoist it up the attic my self, its making me want to cry as its in the nursery just taunting me!!! I have so much energy but this is day 2 and now wondering if i'm coming early or if it just me being me ??? GOOD LUCK to everyone else if your havent dropped already would love to hear if it was the start of labour or false alarms :-)
—MULBERRYSUMMER

With my first I didn't realize what I was doing but at 6 months I started scrubbing the bathroom, went into preterm labor later that day. Second and third couldn't handle the way the drawers in my kitchen looked had to rearrange!!! I'm currently pregnant with my 4th been nesting all afternoon, fingers crossed I go into labor tonight :-)

35 weeks 4 days...

2nd time mom here...no nesting with #1, but at that time I was depressed as hubby and I were victims of the 2008 recession and living with MIL... I've been a zombie for the last few weeks with this one, but... 1am this morning I went full force on my messy house! It's now 630 am and I still can't sleep, so I'm off for more domestic fun!!!! I'm hoping it's all in my head, though, bc (a) I want my little girl to cook a little longer and (b) it's DS's birthday today!!!

Is this really happening????

Well I had heard of nesting prior to me getting it, but thought nothing of it at the time. I woke up one morning, got my 3 yr old dressed, then the nesting began. I had all this energy to do everything when the days prior I had no energy for anything!!! I took my bottles to sarcan, did dishes, laundry, dusted, swept, washed floors, made muffins, washed walls and even cut the grass!!! I'm 36 weeks 2 days and this happened two days ago. I am now absolutely beat! I can hardly keep my eyes open! My first son was born at 36w4d due to me being induced for medical reasoning (he was perfectly healthy!!!). I never got to experience this with him so I am hoping this is a sign I will go into labour soon!!!

Thought I wouldn't get it this time

I always thought nesting was more emotional than biological. With all three of my kids I did huge projects and redecorated and cleaned like a mad woman. This time I am 36 weeks 3 days with surrogate twins. I have really enjoyed watching the girls' mom nest and relaxing knowing that this time I didn't need to. Then today it hit. My house was a disaster. Of course I am HUGE (the twins are 70th percentile) but I NEEDED the house cleaned. This is where my three kids came in handy! They all pitched in and helped me scrub, mop, clean, wipe, and sanitize the entire house, afterwards my oldest, who is eleven asked me "How do you always do all this by yourself?!?" I sure hope this means labor is coming soon (but not TOO soon, my OB is on vacation for 2 more days) I am ready for these girls to go back to their momma and daddy!! :)
