Here is How
- This is how to do it properly. It must be done with Drano crystals not liquid. Put crystals in a glass jar/cup (so you can see the reaction and it wont melt) and take it outside. Poor urine on it and stand back due to fumes. You have to note the FIRST color reaction you see because it can change over time. If you first see brown it is a boy. If you see green it is a girl. I had a friend in the air force who told me about this test. She said years ago when they did not do ultrasound they would use this to determine sex of the baby. She said it was so accurate they actually put the results in the medical chart. It has worked for me twice. Good luck.

- My result was brownish yellow or dirty yellow. My ultrasound said it's a girl.

Didn't Work
- I did the Drano test, well my husband was the one to conduct the test outdoors while I watched from the safety on the other side of our glass sliding door. The results were blue/green/brown which I interpreted as BOY. We were convinced we were having a boy, also due to a lower heart rate. We were surprised to deliver a bouncing baby GIRL.

- I did the test when I was 11 weeks and it was light brown . And again at 18 it was the same color and today I did the ultrasound and it a boy.

It works
- A lot of people did it in my family and every time it was right but you have to do the right measurements of the urine and drano and be at least 3 months, the farther along you are the better.

- I have done the test twice and both time gave me a different result because test 1- done by pouring in and waiting for reaction and test 2 poured in and stirred it up. Test 1 said girl and test 2 said boy. So I want to know do I pour or do I stir?

Colour of urine
- I am 8 weeks now, I did the test at evening time and I found it's dark green colour.

I'm a skeptic
- I don't believe that mixing urine and drano accurately predicts the sex of your baby. One person wrote: it works! My test came back green and I had a girl ... someone else wrote: it works! my test came back green and it's a boy ... it's entertaining at best but I don't believe it's a fool proof method.

- I went for my scan 3 times and 3 times been confirmed that it'll be a girl, I took the drano test both times and both results came out dark brown so not sure what that means? We'll have to see when baby actually comes out!

It's a boy and yes it works.
- My sister and neighbor both came back with blue and had girls, but mine changed to brown/black and it's confirmed I'm having a boy.

clear drano
- I bought two different dranos, both ended up being clear, both turned yellow so I am hoping it is a boy. I hate I don't know which drano goes with which color code though. I am going to go to the store and find blue drano another day and try again.
