Smell of Blood
- My partner was really horrified about the smell of blood. He did really well until the placenta was coming out. My doula suggested that he go get a drink and a snack for a few minutes. It was perfect! I was nursing, he left for 10 minutes and came back and they were all done with the placenta and me, so we could just sit there together. He was so thrilled to be able to be there for me.
