Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS) is a genetic test done in early pregnancy to check for genetic issues including Down Syndrome and other genetic diseases. Have you had this done? What was the reason for the test? What was your experience with the test? Share Your Advice

CVS

I am 11 weeks 5 days today and I got told that I'm in a high risk of Down syndrome. I'm really panicking as my last baby had Turners sydnrome. So I'm worried this baby will have a condition different to Downs but I'm so scared I will miscarry by having CVS and wanted to know if other parents had CVS and if they miscarried?

I Had CVS and Will Have it Again

I had this done in my first pregnancy and will have it again this time around. I was "old" the first time and even older now -- so we want to learn all we can. It was more painful than I thought it would be, but it doesn't last long. And we were thrilled to learn all was OK and that we were having a girl (for sure).
