Overly fancy clock
- Someone gave us this extremely elaborate clock with a spot for putting in the baby's name and DOB. But the gold-painted hands of the clock looked sharp enough to put out an eye - there was no way I was putting that up in the nursery!

A pink outfit... for a boy
- My mother-in-law always wanted a girl, but I had a boy. Didn't stop her from giving him a pink PJ. I have no problem giving my boys dolls and "girl toys", but dressing him in pink was just too much for me. We gave it away.

Worst Gift EVER!!
- We are expecting a girl so in addition to dozens of useless pink newborn onesies, we got some real trash. The worst gift's badness came in two parts - one was a useless pink ribbon that declared "It's a Girl!" - the kind of ribbon you pin on the lapel of someone who won first prize. The other was a resin figurine of a little boy fishing. What? Why? Both from the same person?! I just don't understand what they were thinking...

- My MIL thought it would be cute to give us a photo collage of what our baby should look like based on computer generated images taken from baby pictures from my husband and myself. I cried for a week looking at that alien like baby! Thankfully our baby didn't look like that baby. I was upset, then sad, but now I can laugh about because she really thought she was doing a good thing. The photo is hidden in the attic for when the kids are grown.
