2 years in waiting
- We have been trying for 2 years, 1 of those years we have been seeing the fertility doctor. Well in August we did the IUI and it didn't work. So we decided to take a break and found out my hubby had to go to Afghanistan. I have been feeling icky and thought it was the flu, I took a test just to be sure. It came out pos. I was beyond excited. I called my sister first, then waited till my hubby called we are all excited. I am telling my mom today and that is it till we go to the doctors and know more info. We are so excited for our little surprise.

Announcing pregnancy
- When I was pregnant for the second time, I told my parents and my good friends. However I had a miscarriage when I was 10 weeks. It was hard when everyone asking for more details about my miscarriage. I am pregnant again. Just completed 3 months. Haven't told anyone so far. Thinking of giving the good news to our parents first after I complete my 14 week scan.

Husband of course!
- I took the test then left in the bathroom to wait the required 5 mins. He wouldn't let me go in on my own to find out, we had to go in together, we were both so excited but couldn't quite believe it. Immediately we rang both set of parents, then waited until I'd been to Drs and had and early scan (due to bleeding) a couple of days later before we told the rest of the family and close friends. Waiting for dating scan before I tell work, 2 weeks to go. It's fun to have a secret all mine own at work and great to be able to share it with all my close friends and family.

Imperfect Timing
- Family new right away. I waited until I was 13 weeks to tell co-workers. A few days later, I learned I had miscarried the week before. I was devastated and embarrassed. I wished I had never told anyone. Next time I will wait until I'm well into my second trimester.

That's not 2 negatives!!
- My husband and I had been trying for a few months, and he's soon to deploy. He had big news about a job change while in country and we were in the bathroom talking etc... being anxious and 1 day late, we took a test. Used to negatives, we barely took notice of the test before heading to dinner. We both glanced over and we both screamed. After hugging, kissing, laughing, cheering, crying and jumping up and down, we called my folks on speaker phone and asked my dad if Grandma was home and that we needed both Grandma and Grandpa on the line for some news- They have been calling each other Grandma and Grandpa ever since. (This is the first grandchild on either side for my husband and I) Unfortunately, unless God brings him home sooner, he will miss the delivery. But we couldn't be happier about God granting us the blessing of this baby- no matter the timing!

How long until they notice
- My husband and I already have a little girl together. We were very excited to find out that we are expecting another little one. Every year for labor day we go to my parents lake house to celebrate the long weekend and my birthday. My mom has been asking me for well over a year when we are going to have another one. She as well as everyone else has stopped asking because they don't think we will have another one!!! We have ordered a T-shirt for our 3 year old daughter to wear for my birthday dinner. My parents, 3 brothers, sister-in-law and their girls will be there. We are going to let our daughter walk around in a shirt that said "I have a secret" on the front and on the back it say "I am going to be a big sister". We will randomly have the camera rolling because my mom is known for her reactions to good news. We will only be 10 weeks along when we tell though we wanted to wait until 12.......I am excited to tell and can't wait for the reaction.

Only My Husband Knows So Far
- I just found out yesterday. I got up at 2am to pee, so decided to test. It was so hard waiting for the alarm to go off so I could tell my husband! I didn't want both of us being tired all day. We haven't told anyone else yet, but we're having both sets of parents over this weekend and will tell them then.

Hubby
- With our second one I asked my mom if she had anything going on in October and wondered if she could watch our first child. I told her the dates and she agreed. She asked if we were going on a vacation or something and I said no, but I will be in the hospital having another baby so I will need you to watch Brice! She was so excited!

Was at work
- We were trying for 2 months and all of a sudden she REALLY wanted to stop trying. We argued for 3 weeks about the abrupt decision and I left to work one day. We were having text wars about the topic when suddenly she msged me she needs to talk and that it will explain everything. So she came to my job and showed me the stick. We both held each other and cried/hugged. I first told everyone at my job as I was walking towards the phone to call my mom. :) She waited a month to tell her mom simply because she was scared of her mom getting mad.

how we told
- I told DH the day I had the test at the Dr. This was a bit unexpected for us, so he was surprised. We waited a week, and then told our parents and siblings, but that's all till the 2nd trimester. When I told my parents & brother, I said, "When a man and a woman love each other very much, sometimes they give each other a special hug, and sometimes, if they're not very, very careful, the special hug makes a baby! Ron and I love each other very much, and we gave......" They caught on pretty fast. ;o)

the future plan!
- I'm not pregnant yet, but we're trying hard! Regardless, we already know how to tell my husband's family. My husband's stepdad is a HUGE Indiana Hoosiers fan, and my husband and I are HUGE Kentucky Wildcats fans. Father in law hates the wildcats, so when we make the announcement, we plan to hand him a wrapped giftbox with a "UK Grandpa" t-shirt inside! His other son has already given the "grandpa" t-shirt as a gag gift (which got a less than happy reaction, as he was still in college and not dating anyone), but we think the reaction will be very different for his first grandchild! Wish us luck, we're hoping to put this plan into action soon!

my boyfriend
- He was in Afghanistan and I took the test before he left and it had faint lines. Then I took another one a week later and it said positive so I waited until he called me and i told him he sat the phone down and jumped and yelled. We are so happy!
