sharing the news
- With my 2nd baby I told my husband through a text. I sent him a picture of the test. Then to tell my parents, his parents, and a few close friends we made a movie with lots of pictures of our son and us at the end it said what is missing from this happy family? Another baby! Everyone loved it! We were going to wait a while longer to tell my siblings but got invited to a BBQ and I couldn't hide the morning sickness so we had to tell them. We made a shirt for our son that said "I'm going to be a big brother." It took everyone a while but it was really fun when they all figured it out! Now I am pregnant with our 3rd baby. I planned on wrapping up the pregnancy test to give to my hubby on his Birthday but he kept asking me if I had taken the test. So I wrapped it up and told him it was an early birthday present he was SO excited when he opened it!

faxed picture
- When my husband and I received news from my doctor that I was going to have my third child. I had taken an ultrasound and received prints of my baby. I decided to not call my family and but faxed the photo without any name. My sibling called my mother to see if she knew who it was that was having the baby she responded don't you see who it is? The picture was so clear that she said the baby looks like the Mommy, your Little sister, Melody. I received a call from my Mother very excited about the news.

Grandpa john
- We are all graduates of different Big 12 schools so our son sent each a pacifier with the appropriate school colors/logo to announce he and his wife were pregnant. Luckily no mistakes made with appropriate school/graduate. Baby Levi will always have an emergency pacifier regardless which relative he visits!

Picture Frames
- My husband and I found out that we were pregnant, and wanted to tell our families in a special way. We went to the store and bought pretty baby themed picture frames. Inside we printed on a colored sheet of paper "Baby Henley coming soon May." Everyone loved it. My mom never actually put a picture of the baby in the frame! She loved her announcement that much!

Mystery baby shower/announcement
- My daughter just found out her and her partner are going to have a baby. We decided to have a mystery baby shower/announcement, since their family and circle of couple friends are all very close. Invites are getting sent out to all family and friends, and none of them are aware of which couple it is. The couple will be announced at the shower. It's a great way to pique curiosity and get all family and friends together. An excellent way to announce the great news!

Happy Grandparent's Day
- My husband and I received a card honoring 'grandparent's day which confused me because we weren't grandparents. I thought it was a joke from my daughter regarding her cats. I opened the card and inside was a picture of the ultrasound with a note not to say anything until it was announced on Facebook! It was so sweet and touching.

Time to Play
- When I told the family and friends I was having twins, I took a picture of the ultrasound WANTED Announcement showing two babies in my ultrasound circled, and added the caption, "If you see these kids on the streets, tell them it's not time to come out and play until December." Everyone loved it!

Let them eat cupcakes!
- My family lives 24 hrs away so I ordered cupcakes at the local bakery with pink and blue booties on them. They wrapped the box with a poem on the inside box cover announcing the due date. I had mom pick up the box and told them it was a going away present for their upcoming trip to Europe. The whole family got together to open the box. My sister's reply was "What do pink and blue booties have to do with a trip to Europe...Oh my God shes pregnant." It was fun to have them pass the phone around to hear the excitement.

- I found out the night before and had taken a cookie cake to my husband at work with a box and told him it was a just because present it had a baby jacket in it and under it was the positive pregnancy test he started smiling and looked at the cake that said, "Congrats Daddy!" The next morning we got my entire family up early at like 6 a.m. and called a "family meeting" everybody said what they thought it was about and then I said maybe because I got a positive pregnancy test and it took everyone a few minutes to realize what I said then they went from sleepy to screaming with joy!

Bun In the Oven
- When I discovered I was expecting with our fifth child I wanted to come up with a creative way to tell my husband. When he got home from work I said, "Your supper is in the oven." He opened it up to discover one bun sitting on a plate with my pregnancy test beside it! All he could say is, "No way! Are you serious, this is amazing!"

Oops!
- I made my almost 2 year old a t-shirt that said "Oops, they did it again! I am going to be a big brother!" We went to my parents for dinner and the first thing my mom does is see what my son is wearing. She looked when we walked in the door but didn't actually read the shirt. It was an hour into dinner when she finally noticed! She burst out laughing that it took her that long to notice! They were both thrilled. Unfortunately, that pregnancy didn't last! Trying to come up with something new for the newest one!

Baby shoes
- My mother and I had previously been on a family trip together for the weekend. During our trip we went to a shoe store where I found a tiny pair of Converse Chuck Taylor's. To my mom I said, "someday my baby will have these shoes". My mom replied with a smile saying how cute they were. After returning from our trip my husband and I found out were were pregnant with our first baby a few weeks later. So, naturally I went out and purchased the tiny Chuck Taylor's. While destracting my mom by showing her Christmas ornaments, the last "ornament" I pulled out of the bag was the tiny shoe box with the pregnancy test tucked inside the shoes. As I handed her the box I said, "I bought this ornament but I want you to tell me what you think". At first she looked confused but quickly figured it out. She was so excited!! Then we did the same thing to my dad. We wanted to tell them separately so that we could see both of their reactions. It was great!

cookies
- We went to one of those 'make your own pottery' places and made 2 cookie jars. One that read "Nana's cookies" and one that read "Grandma's Cookies" For each of our parents individually. When we gave them the jars, they did not get it. They thought it was to keep puppy treats for our dogs! After a few seonds though it finally sunk in.

Baby flower bouquet of socks
- We broke the news to the grandparents and the future great grandmother sending them a bouquet, but instead of flowers, each bud was made of a tiny baby sock, we found them at an online store called Swanky Blooms and when they got it, they immediately called me crying with joy, except for my grandma, it took her a while to realize that the flowers were actually socks! It was really funny and sweet!
