My Current Pregnancy
We have recently found out that I am nearly 8 weeks pregnant. I am so scared, feel very sickly this time so I am hoping that this is a good sign.
My Pregnancy Loss
Four months ago, my husband and I went for our 12 week scan, however the nurse scanning said the fetal pole was too small and to come back next week, we got sent to the ER. I was told that the baby had stopped growing at around 7 weeks and would need to have a D and C. we went home completely confused, however the next day I started to bleed so I rang the hospital and they to let things happen naturally, I bleed for 5 day solid with clots as big as a football I had no energy and couldn’t even walk up the stairs, my partner took me to hospital where I had a blood transfusion and the fetus was removed.
Deciding to Get Pregnant Again
We didn't plan to get pregnant so soon after the miscarriage but we are. We are very happy but also very scared about what will happen this time, our doctor is sending us for an early scan so hopefully this will put our minds at ease.
Advice
- I was told to expect a lot of bleeding and ended up needing a transfusion, this was a very scary time for me, make sure the doctor fully explains what should be happening with your body and if you have any concerns then get straight back in.
