About 10 1/2 weeks.
What tests or treatment did you have?
They did an ultrasound ( dated at 6 weeks and 2 days) and we saw his perfect heart beat. Everything else was perfect too. He was implanted high, right where he should be and my cervix was perfectly closed. They never determined the cause.
Tell us about your bleeding.
It very rarely (maybe 3 or 4 times in the 4 1/2 weeks) even touched my panty liner but it was there every single time I wiped for the entire 4 1/2 weeks. It was red, pink or brown.
Tell us about your pregnancy.
Other than this one blip at the beginning everything was perfectly smooth. There was never anything abnormal on any test run the entire pregnancy. He was born at home with a midwife on his due date, a healthy seven pound baby boy.
Advice
- Trust your own instincts. I am pregnant with number 2 now and started spotting at 6 1/2 weeks. It is just as disarming this time as it was the first time but at least have that success to rely on.
- Thank God for morning sickness. Every day I spotted I rejoiced that I felt nauseas too. It might sound crazy, but that was my surety that I was still pregnant and the baby was still growing.
