Baby Birthday actually gives you an estimate of when to expect your baby's birth, rather than just calculating your due date by adding 40 weeks to your last period.
It will calculate your due date, of course, but then it takes into account your prior pregnancy history, whether you have multiples, diabetes, high blood pressure, or prior surgeries, and then it accounts for your cervical exams late in pregnancy as well as the small effect of changes in the barometric pressure on the chance your water will break.
It tells you how likely you are to deliver in the next day, few days, week, month, etc. so you know what to expect.
There is also a detailed packing list as well as background information throughout the app. Just this would be worth 1.99.
Cons: although it does calculate how many weeks you are, it doesn't give photos of each week's development. There is no journal either, but these great features are available in lots of other apps that do that very well. Baby Birthday is a great resource all through pregnancy, but it really is best in the third trimester when you will want to check out your new predictions every day.
You should definitely get this if you are interested in learning when to really expect the birth, with an estimate customized for your history and pregnancy. Especially at the end, it is nice what the chance is of having the baby in the next few days or week. Great to tell family too. Might keep down those daily phone calls at the end!
