Week 40 - Just Waiting

Robin Elise Weiss

I knew I'd make it here. Most other people are more upset about my due date's passing than I am. I'm working still in the mornings, it keeps me sane. Hilary is watching the twins in the mornings and the others come to work with me and do their "school" work in the back. We spend the afternoons doing fun stuff like going to the pool.

The kids have been dying to paint my belly like previous pregnancies. I finally made the time, figuring that at 40w5d, I was potentially running out of time.

We had a blast in the back yard. They decided to paint a rainbow. Hilary really wanted to do something else, so I promised her we could do it twice and she could do one all by herself. We wound up painting everyone but Hilary. It was fun.

If I couldn't have the baby on the sumemr solstice, then I'll just wait. Remember, it's easier to be 9 months pregnancy than 1 week postpartum!
