The Bottom Line

The Pregnancy Test is a cute book of pregnancy questions and answers. It won't be the only pregnancy book that you read, but it is an interesting read.

Guide Review - The Pregnancy Test (Book) Review

The Pregnancy Test by Melissa Heckscher and Emily Sikking is a nice book filled with questions. Thankfully the answers come along too. Unlike your typical pregnancy book, there are no photos, no pages and pages of prose on fetal development, just a quick page of answers to some common (Can I eat peanut butter?) to the uncommon (Can I ride a roller coaster?).

The tone is educational and not condescending. The questions are fun and relevant. I was quite pleasantly surprised.

The answers are based on common knowledge and science. They are worded to be easily understood. My one complaint is that some of the questions are really out there. Seriously, how many pregnant women want to know if they can visit a volcano?
