- Uses American Sign Language (ASL).
- Includes pictures and drawings.
- Doesn't have a video feature.
- Has a background of what signs to choose and how to introduce sign language to your baby.
- It offers pictures and drawings of signs to aid you.
- The variety is helpful since not all babies need to use the same signs.
As a speech, language pathology student, I really like that it uses real ASL signs not made up "baby signs" (a major plus in my book) and includes a description of why the author chose ASL.
Downside: it does cost a little more at $17.95 than other books and doesn't have the "video" feature - the best way to learn to sign is to see a live person do it.
