Guide Review - Labor Lab
These 12, double sided cards depict what labor can be like and offers instruction. But it also allows you to get involved. As a student you can practice positions and run through scenarios in your mind, while actually moving through the part. As an educator, this is what students tell me helps the most in childbirth class - doing what they can to be the laboring woman.
This is also handy in doula trainings to allow some hands on practices during the training. You can use it for stations or to pass around and quiz each other during the training.
It's so helpful to be able to visualize these positions and comfort measures in real labor settings. The photos are realistic and use real people. This makes them indispensable.
