Storing your breast milk safely is important to the health of your baby. There are many different ways you can store your breast milk, though the ease and safety of some methods are not as good as others. Here is my take on a couple of systems to store your breast milk safely after pumping.

Photo (c) Price GrabberThese breast milk storage bags come 25 sterilized bags to a pack. You close them with a zippered closing. They do not require other ties or clips. These bags can also be used in most disposable bottles, so you don't have to change bags or lose milk.

Photo (c) Price GrabberThe Avent Via system includes bases and screw on lids. The bases and lids are reusable or disposable. They also sell a separate adapter to enable you to pump directly into the base. You can freeze in these or transfer to bags at a later date.

Photo (c) Price GrabberThese bags come sterilized and ready to store. Some moms have been able to pump directly, but delicately, into these bags. They close with a fold down, tab system.

Photo (c) Price GrabberThe milk storage bags are zippered closure with an area for labeling. They have a handle on the side and spout to make pouring the contents into a baby bottle easier. The also stand up will pouring milk into them, which is very handy.

Though they can be costly to use if you intend to store breast milk in bulk. They can be used to pump into and feed out of with just a quick change of the top. BPA free.
