39 Weeks and counting...

Measuring the Fundal Height

Yes, I've made it to week 39. I feel like I'm having fewer contractions than in previous pregnancies and think I feel better. Kevin doesn't agree. He also keeps telling me that he doesn't think I'll make it to my "average" due date. (Which removing, twins, inductions and the like gives me 11 days post due date!) It's kind of funny to scare people about being due "any day now." Everyone is quick to tell me that they are first aid certified or CPR trained - I just keep saying, your job should I go into labor is to leave me alone and I smile at them.

Prenatal visit was uneventful unless you count letting 6-7 people all listen to baby with a fetoscope. The kids were so cute... Baby measured at 37.5 weeks, so within range for my dates and is ROA.

I had the most awesome blessing way this past weekend. It was so nice to have my friends gather around me to help bolster me up, I really needed it. It's also nice to celebrate this pregnancy as special, something I've been neglectful of, despite being super thrilled about baby Ocho in general.

In other, not so happy news, my father passed away. So I'm really hoping Ocho holds off for a bit so I can start to deal with that. Keep us in your thoughts!
