Baby Eight - The Third Trimester of Pregnancy

Weeks Thirty-Two and Thirty-Three

I spent most of week 32 fretting about and preparing for our vacation to Florida. Lots of packing and planning, so it was a busy week. I did see my OB, she everything looked good. My GD testing was fine and I was good to go on vacation. My BP was good, despite the kids driving me crazy.

Just before I left my friend Pat was in town. We had dinner out and goofed off at the yarn store. I picked some cool yarn to make a baby hat. We also got together with some other educators and that was fun.

The drive to Florida was 20 hours long, about four hours longer than it should have been. My legs were so swollen by the time I got to Florida it wasn't funny, but an overnight rest really cleared it up. I guess I didn't stop as much as I thought I did. I also did leg exercises in the van. Week 33 wasn't starting well.

I kept pregnancy in mind as I planned our days. We walked a lot but rested and drank tons of water. I also tried to end every day in the pool. So swelling wasn't really a huge issue for me.
