Preparing the Cake Balls for Coating

If the candy coating isn't your thing, see an easier way to decorate the baby shower cake balls and skip a few steps ahead.

The final step in preparing the actual cake balls for the candy coating is to chill them. You can place them in the refrigerator for three hours. Just slide the cookie sheets in. I was in a hurry and put them in the freezer for about 15 minutes. (They needed a bit longer in there.)

I only had room for one cookie sheet in the freezer. So I only put one cookie sheet in the freezer, while I prepared to coat. I swapped the cookie sheets out when I was ready to begin.
