Guide Review - Mei Tai Baby Carrier

As someone who has had a sling since way before slings and other wraps were popular, I was shocked when I saw my first Mei Tai Baby Carrier. It's amazing beautiful and mom and baby look so good snuggled up together. When I started talking to this happy mother, she was more than willing to gush about the joys of her Mei Tai.

This Asian inspired baby carrier has lots of flexibility and can adjust itself to the size of your baby from newborn to infant and even for toddlers. There are also no parts that come off or rub you or baby the wrong way. At first learning to put it on was daunting. Once I was able to figure that out, it was a snap and it felt very secure, an important part about any baby carrier.

I have had 2, a Babyhawk and now an Ellaroo. I liked both for the using with different age ranges, back or front flexibilty, ease of use. I like the fact that it can be worn during pregnancy, also long enough/comfy enough/can be made manly enough for Dad's too! They take up very little space in your trunk/glove compartment. They are a little pricey (around $100), but I would put that money into a good carrier over a stroller any day! I would probably choose the Babyhawk over the Ellaroo , though, because of the much larger fabric selection from Babyhawk (she has some of the greatest fabrics!), and higher quality fabrics used in the babyhawk. My ellaroo has only been washed 3 x's since January and the black has some wash wear to it and a small hole in the center of the carrier already :( BTW, if you're wondering if they're comfy, they are...no pulling on the shoulders, digging into your waist, etc. I use mine for shopping , around the house and walking and it's very comfy. I also carried my son when he was around 30 pounds and I was pregnant (on my back) and it was still comfy.
