Guide Review - Britax Companion

The Britax Company is well known for its car seat products. This is its best infant car seat for rear facing infants up to 20 lbs. The car seat comes with the seat, the base and a built in head rest.

The head rest is adjustable by lowering or raising the amount of air in the head rest. This is done easily with your fingers on the top of the head rest. It works so much better than any of the terry cloth inserts that you can buy to add to your car seats.

The padding is softer to touch and "fluffy" to sit on. This adds to the comfort for your baby. It is also blissfully detachable, to wash all the baby messes up. It doesn't come out super easily the first time, but once you know how to remove it and put it back on it was very easy.

The car seat itself is heavy. While this may lead to safety it does make it more difficult to lug baby around in. This hasn't stopped parents from dragging a sleeping baby around yet, but it's worth knowing.

The car seat also has a built in hood. This keeps the sun and other elements off the baby. The five point harness is easily adjusted to fit your baby.
