Boppy

This is a fun pillow designed to aid baby is play and physical development. It's as much fun for parents as babies.

I'm a fan of the Original Boppy. It's fun to use to help baby sit up and to help encourage tummy time. I've had a variety of Boppies for years.

The Original Boppy is plain, no frills. But I like that. There are no bells and whistles or toys to contend with, it is whatever you make it.

It does have a variety of covers and fabrics now available that it did not used to have. This is great particularly if you have a baby who spits up a lot. The covers slip off and go right in the washer. Or you can buy a cover to hide stains. The Boppy itself can go straight into the wash as well.

For newborns it's nice to use to help prop them up. They enjoy the different view. It is safe to sit on the floor and use while you're working in a room and need both of your hands.

Once your baby can hold themselves up a slight bit, you can use it for tummy time as well. This provides them with a bit of cushion for the inevitable face plants babies do on the floor when learning to hold themselves up. It also can be used to help aid them in learning to sit up.

The Original Boppy fashions itself a nursing pillow. I don't really like the Boppy as a nursing pillow. I think it winds up being too far away from mom's body to do the job adequately.

The Boppy is a baby shower gift staple. It is almost an icon of babyhood. It's a nice baby aid to have around the house when you have little ones. My toddlers still carry theirs around and their Boppies are still going strong!
