"We live about 3 hours away from my hometown where the shower will most likely be held, and my sister (my maid of honor) is too immature to plan a shower. I have no doubt that my Mom will take over, but my husband and I want to have a shower where all of our friends can come - male or female. The problem is my Mom is traditional and probably doesn't know much about this kind of shower so I would like to be involved. My questions is: Do guests think it's rude or wrong for the pregnant couple to be involved in the planning of their shower? Will they see it as us just trying to get presents?"
