Baby Girl!!
"Good night," I said. Two hours later...
"wake-up wake-up your mom is going to have..." "Yes, what is it?" I
moaned.
"You could be a brother tonight!" my Nana said.
We were in the car. I was singing to myself. (We're off to see the
hospital, the annoying hospital of Oz. It woke me up at 10:00 at
night!!!!and I don't even have the straw guy!!!or the guy who needs
courage and I am done singing) "OK, we're here," my Nana said. "We're
at the hospital." I got over getting up at 10:00 at night. I looked at
two good sides 1. I don't have to get up today 2. I get to go to bed
late.
Remember when my Nana said,"You could be a brother tonight?" Well, she
was wrong. It was past 12:01! and the baby's head was not even close to
be being out of my mom's body!! and if my Poppy was here in the hospital
instead of bed something bad would happen that I forgot. Oh yeah, I
forgot my Grandma Ellie was there too! 12:30! Still waiting hooooo! I
get up at 10:00 for this!!
mmmmmmmmmhhhhhhhhhh What is more important? 1. me die from not sleeping
or 2. waiting for a baby for the rest of my LIFE!! "Get a grip," I told
myself. Then the late show went on. It was so funny you wouldn't
believe me so I won't tell you about it. 12:45 still......
"The baby's coming out," my dad said. Then the late late show was on.
It was dumb so we changed the channel. It was a show about iguanas.
At 1:25 my dad rushed through the waiting room's door. "BABY GIRL!"
The words truly stunned me. To my surprise when I saw my sister she was
a living Quilt with a face but it was only a quilt wrapped around her.
She's so cute the name had to be Victoria.
