Jeremy's Birth

Well on 1/29/98 We gave birth to Jeremy Ruotolo who weigh 6lb 10oz born at 7:22am Thursday. Well at about 4:30 in the morning I awoke to a very strong contraction. I got up and went to the bathroom. Not really conscious yet as to being in labor I went to lay back down. about 10 min later another strong contraction. Which made my side hurt really bad. I ask Daddy to rub my back cause it hurt so much well needless to say he was very much a sleep and was unable to put much effort into it. (but at lest he tried) I got up again now realizing that it was time to get ready for the hospital and how was I going to be able to get everyone up and ready. It was at about 5:00 am that I went around begging everyone to wake up they finally got up at about 5:30 with me getting very upset that no one was listen. Daddy thought I was trying to get him up to go to work so he was ignoring me. Until I told him that we were in fact in Labor and he really need to get his butt up and help me get the kids ready. I wasn't timing the contraction cause I knew the where not far apart and I didn't have much time before our son would be here and I didn't want to not make it to the hospital. Well the night before we had washed the car and when we went to get in the locks were all frozen stiff so we spent some time getting the doors open well daddy's door wouldn't open at all once we all got in the car we had to get out again cause Ambers door wouldn't shut another 5 min or so to get the door to catch. So at about 6:00am we where all finally on the road. and Daddy ask me to start timing the contractions so we would be able to tell the hospital. well they where about 3 to 4 min apart and about 1 min long that is est. cause we had no second hand to watch for. We get to the hospital because my Doc. told me once I start having contractions to just get my butt to the hospital. Well the hospital wasn't very happy with that but oh well and they looked at me very strangely cause I really didn't seem like I was in labor lucky me I have very high pain tolerance and I dont labor long. We where up on the floor at about 6:50 or so well I got in I was 4 to 5 cm dilated and moving fast (they broke my water and placed a intern. monitor on the baby's head cause he had low heart rate but it had been low the last few weeks that I had been on NST)in 15 min I was at 7cm I felt like I needed to make a bm but when they let me up to go I was afraid that I might hurt the baby so I went back to bed and 3min after that I was at 8 they ask if I wanted to push and I said no not yet but 3 seconds later I changed my mind they checked me again and I was at 10 and ready to start pushing about 6 good pushes and our baby was here. Daddy almost missed it cause he though he should take Amber and Dominic to Grandmas house I looked at him like are you sure you want to do that as I started to explain we would be having the baby anytime now. We started having the baby. I kinda though it was strange though because I had one IV but they gave me Picton after I already gave birth I really didn't understand that but at least it didn't hurt anything.
