Settling in for the long haul.
July 27, 1999
8 weeks 4 days

It's been a long week. I've been to three births and watched with wide eyed wonder at the miracle I'll get the privilege of experiencing again.

Isaac has recently taken a liking to babies, so I'm lucky that way. A friend came over with her baby and I was holding Catherine when Isaac sat down next to me and tried to pull her onto his lap. He thought he owned her, no fear or anything. It was really cute.

My uterus is getting larger and I've pooched out. I suppose I can look forward to being huge! Since I always go two weeks over I'm counting on making it to my due date, at least.

Today Kevin and I went shopping with the kids and we went to the Baby Gap. Inside we found a collection of small yellow ducks, so we bought a pair of hats, blankets, booties and onesies for the new additions to our family. Kevin never wants to but anything for the "new" baby (or babies in this case), so when he encouraged me to do it, I was shocked. I asked him if he was getting excited and he said yes.

We find ourselves staring at babies again, and wondering how everyone will fit in our house that seemed so large last year, or even the purple mini-van that is only months old. I figure we can do this again and make it all work out...
