Nine Weeks, Two Days
I drove around doing prenatals with my midwife. She actually had to come get me because I felt so horribly bad. When we saw one of my clients I started rushing us out the door at the end. Juliet asked me what the deal was when we got to the car and I told her I thought it would be impolite to throw up on the client!
My morning sickness seems worse this week. Although we started looking for a house, and found one! Maybe it's just nerves.
What is it about being pregnant that makes one want to pack up and move to more space? Actually in my case it's the need for a bathroom on the same floor as a bedroom! My bladder is not liking the nightly walk to the bathroom. I told Kevin we're getting a chamber pot or moving...
So, we're waiting to find out if the bid we placed on the house will be accepted or not. Wish us luck!

Nine Weeks, Three Days

We did it! We signed the contract! The house is ours!
I'm very excited and very nervous, it will still be two months before we move. I keep telling myself that will be a nice long, slow, happy move. I'll be in my second trimester and not feeling as ill, we'll hire movers...
Then I remember the bank stuff and applying for the loan, the inspections...and the fact we don't have enough furniture for the house!
Then I realize we'll be having our first homebirth in a house we own. Our baby, born in our bed, in our home! What could be better?
Well, we weren't going to tell the kids about the baby, but tonight Hilary was reading my e-mail over my shoulder as I wrote about my pregnancy to a friend. She exclaimed, "You're pregnant?" I whipped around and saw her standing there. I hadn't even seen her.
I said yes, but that we weren't telling anyone yet. She asked if it was a girl (since she has two brothers), we said we didn't know. Then she told me she'd love it even if it was another boy.
Benjamin didn't seem too concerned, and Isaac doesn't have a clue. Hilary is really excited and asked who was going to get to cut the cord this time. She didn't seem to upset when I reminded her it was Benjamin's turn.

Nine Weeks, Four Days

Hilary came home from school today with a bunch of cute notes. One had two flowers, a tall one and a short one. I was the tall one and the new baby was the small one. Inside were boxes for me to check yes or no. One was labeled "Do you feel okay?" and the other was "Is the new baby okay?" Later she gave me a note ensuring me that I could call on her if I needed anything.
I think it's really cute, Kevin was annoyed. She really seems excited. As I went to do a prenatal she asked if if maybe I shouldn't stay home and rest! When I returned home she asked if the new baby was kicking yet. It's too cute!
