Labor Updates: To find out if
I'm in labor, check here!

Thirty Eight Weeks, One Day
You know the pregnancy is almost finished when the one pair of maternity pants you have left gets a hole in the seat! I'm tired and cranky, but bouts of contractions spur me to get stuff done.

Thirty Eight Weeks, Four Days
"I think what I miss is the sense of anticipation; of wondering when I'll
give birth, wondering whether I'll have a boy or girl, wondering if we'll
decide on a name in time." - Another October Mom
I'm really trying to be patient. I'm trying to enjoy these last few days. I wake up everyday and ask the baby if today is his or her's birthday - no response. One day soon it will be the right day, my baby's birthday.
Until that day I must learn the hard lesson for me, patience...

Thirty Eight Weeks, Five Days
Thanks for all the notes about patience. I need the encouragement! I'm trying! I laid my hands on my belly just now to ask my daily birthday question. My previously sleeping fetus squirmed as I said, "Baby..." I waited a second and it calmed down and I finished the question, "Is today your birthday?" No answer...
We had our prenatal appointment last night. All is well with both of us. My blood pressure was up a bit, but the kids were running around, and it's not dangerously high. Baby is still head down and slight to the left. The head is further down, and a lot less wiggly, we even have a shoulder poking out very prominently on the left side. (Can you say OUCH?!?) I measured at 36, down from 37.5 last week, so baby is heading in the right direction. What else can I tell you?
My mantra today is: "Babies come when they are ready!"
