Thirty Weeks

I have to say this is one time turning "30" feels really good. I know I have a lot on my plate but I'm getting it done and plodding through. Somedays it feels like the babies will be here any minute and other days it feels like it's forever away!

Thirty Weeks, One Day

There is a breastfeeding conference here this weekend. I'm excited, because much like the Lamaze conference it will be great to be around people who are supportive and encouraging of my decision to breastfeed twins. It's great!

Thirty Weeks, Two Days

It's been a long day, but a good day. I'm so miserable sitting in a chair that I sat on a birth ball my friend Lisa brought. I got two back rubs from sympathetic participants (gotta love that!). I moved around a lot to try and stay feeling limber enough.

Thirty Weeks, Three Days

Well, the conference is over, but it's been great. The amount of new information can feel staggering at times, but I left with handy tips to help not only my clients but myself.

I was so tired after everything that I actually told Kevin I didn't want to go out to eat. He came home and made us all french toast for dinner. The kids took turns heating up my rice sock, even Lilah carries it around saying, "Hot!" They get so into it when my belly moves. I also realized having twins is great for sibling rivalry. I'll have two babies to pass around between the four of them.

Thirty Weeks, Four Days

Another prenatal (aren't they coming very frequently?) today. I measured 40 centimeters! Yikes. Both babies sounded good, my BP and urine were fine. I am, however, anemic. This isn't a huge surprise, but I do need to get on top of it. That might help some with the shortness of breath and fatigue. Though it could also be because I'm pregnant!?!

We got some great photos of the kids listening to the babies with the fetoscope and feeling around on my belly. They eat that stuff up. Even Lilah left the fetoscope on her head and listened. We finalized birth kit stuff and set our date for the birth planning party!
