Buy Maternity Clothes For Less

By Robin Elise Weiss, LCCE, About.com

Why break the bank for maternity clothes? Look nice for less!
Difficulty: Average
Time Required: 60 minutes
Here's How:
  1. Determine what you need.
  2. Catalog what clothes you already have.
  3. Look through your closet for things that will last the whole pregnancy.
  4. Look in your husband's closet for bigger shirts!
  5. Ask your friends and relatives if you might borrow some of their maternity clothes.
  6. Reevaluate what you still need.
  7. Decide how much money you have to spend.
  8. Look into second hand stores, yard sales, and similar places for gently used clothing.
  9. You may still have a few requirements for your wardrobe.
  10. Comparison shop. Check local stores, catalogues and online.
  11. Make your final selections!
Tips:
  1. Buy clothing that is made well to last you through several pregnancies, if need be.
  2. Don't restrict yourself to maternity wear, try larger sizes.
  3. Just because you're pregnant doesn't mean you have to give up fashion!
