The Basics of Pain Relief - Childbirth Class Five

The way you choose to deal with pain in labor will be a very individual process. Some will choose to use nothing from the medical world while others will choose to use medications and other interventions. This does not have any reflect on who you are as a person or a parent.

However, I'd caution anyone from having preconceived notions of exactly what they will use in labor. I believe that until you are actually in labor you cannot make those decision, even if you've had a previous baby. All labors are different. Your best option will be to go into your birth knowing all of your options, both medical and non-medical.
