There were a couple of times in my pregnancy where I accidentally found myself exposed to things I found worrisome in pregnancy like paint fumes. The paint fumes accidentally happened when I miscalculated how long I needed to air out the kitchen after it was painted. But someone suggested that I call the poison control center. Thankfully I had the number handy but they really didn't have a lot to offer, except the suggestion to call the Organization of Teratology Information Specialists (OTIS).
OTIS has a great listing of Fact Sheets on various exposures including some medications and common household products. But you can also call them to talk to one of their specialists to get your questions answered. This was a very handy and nice free service in pregnancy.
Have you been exposed to anything in pregnancy? Where did you go for information?
