Pregnancy Announcements - April Fools Style

Nineteen years ago April Fools Day, I was driving home from the doctor's office, trying to think of how to tell my husband that we were expecting our first baby. The pregnancy test at home had been positive, but in my younger, more naive days, I needed an expert to tell me that I was pregnant. I decided that an April Fool's Day joke was in order.

I came in and he was in the basement working on the laundry. My ploy was going to be to say that I wasn't pregnant. So I walked down the stairs slowly, trying to wipe the smile off my face and replace it with a frown. He looked up at me, "Well?"

"I'm not pregnant," I barely squeaked out. He paused a minute and said, "You're not?"

It was then that I exploded, "Oh I am! I am! I am!" Lots of laughing and kissing ensued and it was fun, even if I couldn't pull it off for more than about 30 seconds.

Are you looking for fun ways to tell someone that you're expecting a baby? We have a large assortment of pregnancy announcements and stories to go along with them. You might also try posting your April Fools Day story (or others) on the pregnancy and due date forums.
