Morning Sickness - The Worst Pregnancy Symptom?

Tuesday October 7, 2008
I was never sure what the worst pregnancy symptom was going to be. Quite honestly, before I got pregnant, I never really gave them much thought. In fact, if I'm honest, if I did think about them it was probably in passing and probably to reassure myself that they were just minor annoyances. Ha! Despite trying lots of morning sickness products, I had my fair share.

I recently asked the members of the pregnancy forum what they thought the absolute worst pregnancy symptom was for the whole nine months. It wasn't too surprising that morning sickness came in as the number one most horrible pregnancy symptom. While it's ranked as the worst, it is usually not the first sign of pregnancy. Join our poll and share what your first sign of pregnancy was...

It was so totally my sense of smell too. Everything smelled awful. That is what would make me feel queasy. I do not miss that.

I guess technically my first symptom was sore breasts, but I have that before my period anyway, so I didn’t think anything of it. The first thing that made me wonder if I was pregnant was a missed period.

My first pregnancy symptom was noticing how strong “unscented” laundry detergent is! I voted morning sickness because I love to eat and I’m having to avoid certain foods now.

In my first pregnancy the first symptom I had was my vision changing. I couldn’t understand what was going on! This time around, about two days before I missed my period, I had the strongest craving for milk. In the middle of cooking I had to stop and down a whole glass!!! I had an inkling after that…
