Make the Most of Your Maternity Clothes

Thursday October 2, 2008

Let's face it, one of the most expensive parts of pregnancy are maternity clothes. That said, they are a necessary evil to a certain extent. The good news is that nowadays, women have so many choices and options to make maternity clothes and their "regular" clothes work for them during their pregnancy, no longer are we relegated to cutesy clothes with ribbons and bows.

So, how do you stay in style and fashionable and yet don't break the bank on maternity clothes? Here are some tips:

  • Consider them an investment, particularly if you intend to have more children.
  • Borrow what you can.
  • Consider purchasing used clothing from second hand stores, yard sales and online swaps like eBay.
  • Extend your regular clothes as long as possible.

Just remember, looking good in pregnancy doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. With some planning and scouting you can look amazing and have money left in the bank to spend on baby items. What advice do you have to offer?
